The Brand Amp utilized an innovative, yet “tried and true” approach to amplifying the Traeger x Louisville Slugger brand collaboration by strategically ideating and executing a thematic media mailer celebrating a unique partnership between two brands rooted in beloved American past times. Combining the rich history of baseball and the joy of wood-fire grilling, the unique media mailer included carefully selected elements curated to resonate with barbecue aficionados and baseball enthusiasts alike. Working hand-in-hand with Traeger’s Marketing team, TBA’s PR, Design, and Events team sent these mailers to an exclusive roster of national mainstream media targets, leveraging a mix of existing media relationships and strategically engaging new reporters from renowned national sports publications, ultimately, expanding Traeger’s reach. Additionally, The Brand Amp spearheaded the development of the official brand collaboration press release and disseminated the news across national publications. Coinciding with the press release distribution, The Brand Amp conducted aggressive proactive outreach efforts to drive earned media coverage while bolstering brand awareness. Key coverage highlights include CBS News, MAXIM, USA Today, YAHOO!, Sportico, Gear Junkie, and many more.
As a result of the team’s proactive outreach efforts, The Brand Amp delivered 27 media mailers and generated 23 earned media placements resulting in nearly 557M impressions. The press release was picked up by an additional 534 outlets garnering more than 211.8M impressions.
